We provide wheelchair accessible facilities at our touring caravan park and campsite, with a wheelchair-friendly wetroom, suitable for all guests. We also provide wheelchair accessible accommodation in our holiday lodges for hire. We are open all year, situated in South Somerset and run an adult only holiday park.
TOURING CARAVAN PARK AND CAMPSITE FACILITIES FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS
Our touring caravan park is in South Somerset and provides adult only accommodation all year round. We are five star rated by VisitEngland.

Our caravan park has ample room for touring units of sizes up to 40ft, with all touring pitches on hardstandings. The touring park is level and with easy access.

All of our pitches are nearby to our central shower block facilities. We have a dedicated wheelchair accessible suite in our shower block, with a wheel-in shower and seating. All facilities have grab rails and there is a transfer bar for the toilet. Our facilities are set up for both seated and standing height to cater for a range of disabilities.

Our accessible facilities are kept locked and users are given their own key for use during their stay. This is to ensure that you will be able to access the facilities when needed.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE HOLIDAY LODGES FOR HIRE
We currently have one wheelchair accessible, one bedroom holiday lodge available for hire on site. This holiday lodge is wheelchair accessible throughout, with a dedicated wetroom and wheelchair accessible kitchen and living area.

Our Blackforest Lodge is accessed by outdoor ramps and also features a very large, sheltered decking area for outdoor seating.

Our second wheelchair accessible, two bedroom holiday lodge for hire is our Maple Tree Lodge. This is the newest lodge in our fleet, with two wetrooms and caters for larger groups.

Our holiday lodges are available for hire all year round and have parking right outside in a private area of the park.
"The site is immaculately kept, festive decorations were lovely and the whole site has a nice feel about it. Full recycling facilities are available and encouraged. The owners are friendly and welcoming and have in-depth knowledge about the area and events.
We stayed in a wheelchair friendly lodge with no issues at all. All rooms are suitable for wheelchair users with room to manoeuvre. Parking outside the main door to the lodge.

This is a great find and suitable for a long or a short stay. We recommend the site for caravans, tents or a stay in one of the lodges."

"We stayed in the disabled lodge which was perfect, wide doors for my walker or would be suitable for a wheelchair user.
Alan greeted us on arrival and showed us around. There was milk, a cake, tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid etc all included .
The lodge was spotless and couldn’t fault it. A nice private decking area in the sun too, we will definitely return."

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE DAYS OUT IN SOMERSET
Our caravan park and lodges for hire are situated near lots of great wheelchair accessible days out in Somerset. For ideas and reviews, we suggest checking Euan's Guide, which is full of information from disabled visitors.
We would particularly recommend visits to:

Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford (0.5 miles) which has ample parking for accessible vehicles and motorhomes and provides good wheelchair access throughout. The museum houses the UK's biggest collection of cars and motorbikes. Haynes also offer a 10% discount for our guests.

Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovilton (3 miles) with over 40 aircraft on display. The museum is accessed by lifts and ramps throughout and accessible parking is available.

Hauser & Wirth, Bruton (7 miles) is an art gallery and gardens and also home to a fantastic restaurant and farm shop. All public areas are wheelchair accessible and the gallery and gardens are free to visit.

A little further afield, we would also suggest Wells Cathedral and The Roman Baths at Bath, who have both won Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards for accessibility.
Our Reception area is also wheelchair accessible and provides lots of information about Somerset. In 2020, we also introduced an online reception which has proven very popular with our disabled guests. You can access this at any time on your devices to plan your stay and we provide free WiFi on site.
GETTING OUT AND ABOUT
Many of our cycle routes and dog walks are possible for all-terrain wheelchairs and handcycle chairs. These are all mapped out on our cycle route and dog walk pages:
Visit South Somerset hosts a wealth of information on accessible walks on their website. In 2021, Somerset was voted the best county in the UK for accessible walks in a poll by camping shop Millets.
Somerset Council's website also provides great information on getting out and about. There are also links to wheelchair accessible rock climbing, water sports and mountain biking.
