FOOD AND DRINK IN SOMERSET
Somerset is home to some of the best food and drink in the county. Known worldwide specifically for cider and Cheddar cheese, Somerset has over 8,500 farmers and food production, equating to the highest number of any county in the UK! Take a look at our recommendations for nearby food and drink during your stay, where you'll support independent businesses and local artisan producers.
LOCAL FARM SHOPS
Teals at North Cadbury (2 miles) has everything: a farm shop, cafe, takeaway coffees, gelato, an orchard to roam around in and even bee hives. It's well worth a visit and even has a gift shop to take presents from Somerset home with you!
The Old Parlour is our closest farm shop and cafe at just a mile away. It's a great walk to take with your dog, or perfect for a short cycle. Their menu covers local breakfasts, posh coffees and lots of tasty treats too.
Durslade Farm Shop at Bruton (7 miles) houses some of the fanciest farm goods in the county. With their own brand of cider grown locally too, this farm shop has everything - and a cafe included. It's also next door to Hauser and Wirth art gallery and the fantastic Roth Bar and Grill.
SOMERSET PUBS
Visit our customers' favourite pub for a home-cooked dinner at The Mildmay Arms at Queen Camel. Just a mile away in the next village, they also do a fantastic Sunday roast.
The Camelot Inn at North Cadbury is a perfect place to stop for a drink after climbing King Arthur's Camelot at Cadbury Hillfort.
