We had a lovely stay, and our two adult children who came as day visitors were also impressed. Alan and Pamela were wonderful hosts, and they kept the whole site incredibly neat and tidy. As recommended by the hosts, we ordered a delivery of fresh bread and other baked goods from the local bakery and this felt like a very special treat as a delicious smelling box was delivered right to our door on our first morning there. We had a fully serviced pitch where we even had our very own chemical disposal point right next to the pitch, so nothing was too far away at all. Despite having our own facilities, we used the showers provided as they had delightful rainfall shower heads with lashings of hot water. In this instance, we used the site as a base to visit the National Trust site at Stourhead, but we can see that this could be a good base for many other activities in Somerset. We thoroughly enjoyed star-gazing via the skylight above the bed, from within the warmth of our motorhome!

Very pleasant clean, quiet site in Somerset. We stayed here for the weekend as the site is very handy for Yeovil and Taunton. The site itself is very nicely laid out and the facilities are immaculate. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There are some really good circular walks from the site including to a fabulous hill fort and two pubs within walking distance. The Haynes Motor Museum is walkable too and the Fleet Air Arm Museum is a very short drive away. We also visited Bruton and if you get the chance go to The Queen of Cups in Glastonbury. It’s an incredible Turkish/Lebanese tapas restaurant.

The site is immaculately kept , festive decorations were lovely and the whole site has a nice feel about it. Full recycling facilities are available and encouraged.

The owners are friendly and welcoming and have in-depth knowledge about the area and events. We stayed in a wheelchair friendly lodge with no issues at all. All rooms are suitable for wheelchair users with room to manoeuvre. Parking outside the main door to the lodge. This is a great find and suitable for a long or a short stay. We recommend the site for caravans, tents or a stay in one of the lodges.

A lovely adult only site. A very quiet site immaculate in all respects. Owner helpful and friendly. Beautiful area, visited Stourhead N.T. sadly no time for Montacute N.T. Ham Hill with 350 acres and free was a good choice on Christmas Day. Motorhome parking was limited so you need to go early and park in the area of the pub. We had a gate leading straight out onto a lovely walk. The site was so peaceful. The distant noise of the A303 was no problem. This is a site we would re-visit in the autumn and winter months. The toilet and showers were the cleanest we've ever seen. No dog walk on site but two walks, one adjoining the site and one straight across from the entrance.

This place is clean, tidy and well maintained. It is in easy range of the A303. A great stopover for London to South West holiday makers. A nice pub in walking distance, a good place to eat and very welcoming. Excellent overall.

A first class peace haven. Simple to check in in with the the provided information sent prior to leaving home. Although we pitched OK, the owner nevertheless came to ensure all was fine and we knew where everything was. Pitches for our motorhome were level and hardstanding, handy in November! Our stay was short, just overnight en route home, but if we wanted somewhere in this area again, this would be a great choice with excellent facilites, spotlessly clean. It's not a large site which we liked, and it was quiet.

Excellent site with lovely surroundings and well laid out pitches. The facilities were also excellent and the owner/wardens were most welcoming. Local bus service made travelling easier and the Sparkford Inn just up the road served great food with a warm atmosphere. Very happy to recommend this site for families or couples, really enjoyed and hope to be back again before too long.

A perfect place to stay for a break away from it all. We tend to use CL sites but decided to try this one as it had great reviews. A well maintained site with very friendly hosts and excellent services throughout the site. One of the cleanest sites we have visited, showers and toilets exceptional. Plenty of walks and places to visit in the surrounding area, fabulous Sunday Lunch at The Mitre Inn Sandford Orcas and the local Sparkford Inn was just a walk down the road which again had good pub grub.

This was our first break at Long Hazel Park and it was TOTALLY OUTSTANDING!!!! We had the warmest of welcomes from Alan and Pam. They spent time giving us all the information we needed re buses, restaurants, pubs, shops and places to visit. It was an easy access to the camp site and the whole site was as spotless as the facilities, and the added bonus of adults only and open all year. THANK YOU ALAN AND PAM FOR MAKING OUR STAY SO ENJOYABLE. We will certainly be visiting again and again and again!!!

In the area we visited: Sherborne with fine cathedral, Country house with garden Lytes Cary Manor, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovil.

What a wonderful small but friendly site. My husband had no trouble bringing our 5th wheeler onto this site and parking it. We had electric and water hook- up and grey/black waster too. We were ok to reach the black waste with our hoses, but if not the owner would have let us use his hose to connect to the black. Picnic tables. W.C / Showers are open 24/7 / night lights and full recycling on site (not many sites do this, including food waste being separate). There was nothing the owner wouldn't help us with on site as well as local knowledge of places to go and visit including discount codes where applicable. Our dog loved the site too, there was a lovely Dog Walk opposite the site for a nice short or long walk and owner had given us a Dog Walking Map. We visited near by the Haynes Museum /Fleet Air Arm Museum (My favourite) both are annual tickets in the price. Montacute House / Burnham-on-sea to name but a view places. Plenty of places nearby to eat including Mildmay Arms

I can't recommend this little gem of a site highly enough. Very easy access, straight off the main road and in, no horrible narrow lanes to navigate. Sited right near the facilities, garage a short walk away, let alone a drive, nearby pubs, eatery etc. We stayed to be close to a couple of events in the area, both evening events and it was superb. We arrived in heavy rain and Alan offered to help me set up, even in the rain, he couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We were late back the second night after attending a friend's birthday and access was easy through the gate with the simple to use padlock. Nice clean showers and toilets, a super disabled set up for my wife, which made life very pleasant. Definitely on our favourites list!

Sneaked in a little few days at the end of the summer to see friends. Found this site close to where they live and what a find! The site and facilities are all kept immaculate. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful with advice about the local area. Showers hot and efficient and also washing facilities. The site recycle as much waste as possible and easy to separate into the bins. Being in a small town local facilities are very good to with a pub and shops nearby. A short walk into Queen Camel where there is a lovely community cafe and another good pub. Would definitely recommend, we will certainly be back 😀.

Accessibility to the site is good especially given its location on the road. Lovely clean toilets and showers with a separate room for disabled visitors. The owner is passionate about continually improving the site especially in providing better access for all.

What a lovely hidden gem. The campsite is well equipped, in a good location and just pure bliss to stay at. The other campers were all very friendly and respectful. We stayed with another couple (separate pitches/tents) and we requested adjacent pitches which was accommodated. Alan said we could put the tents where we wanted on the pitches, and also move further back to put our joint gazebo (this was great). The facilities were immaculate. Alan and Pamela were super responsive, very friendly and have one of the best campsites I’ve ever stayed at. I cannot wait to come back! (P.S recommend the Air Fleet Museum and The Old Parlour Farm Shop for a cracking lunch!)

Stayed for 3 nights to explore the local area. Very easy to access the site from the A303. The site is very well kept and the toilet / shower block was spotlessly clean. Alan and Pamela were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely walk from the site to Cadbury Castle returning via a farm shop and local pub for dinner. Another day we drove to Glastonbury which took about 30 mins through lovely countryside. We would definitely recommend this site to others especially as a stopover if travelling long distance.

The site is ideally located to explore Somerset and all it has to offer Shepton Mallet is ideal for shopping and Castle Cary is very much a unique place. Alan always on hand with advice and recommendations. The price is also competitive during these difficult times. I would not hesitate to recommend this site to anyone. Haynes Motor Museum not far away and worth a visit (discounted tickets when you stay at Long Hazel).

After staying on a different site during an excessively hot weekend, it was lovely to arrive at Long Hazel. A very helpful warden greeted us as he was placing names on pitches. Everything seemed so clean and tidy and the facilities were exceptionally good. I recall visiting many years ago and remember it being good then. Very easy access from the High Street and no narrow lanes. It is a site that has well kept grounds and very nice mature trees. 10/10 on every aspect.

We have stayed in 5 other campsites since Long Hazel and all we keep saying is… “it’s OK but it’s no Long Hazel!” We really were spoiled with the quiet location, clean and fresh facilities and the lovely owner Alan who went round & said hello to all his guests. You can just tell the family are passionate about it and I can’t rave about it enough. We have already talked about finding an excuse to come back again! Thank you x

Very convenient location just off A303, easy to find. There is a bit of background noise from the road but not too intrusive. Large level, fully serviced pitch. Warm welcome from Alan who is a font of information on the local area. Something unique, in our experience, was the opportunity to pay an extra £5 to arrive early and the same again to leave late. It is often such a pain knowing where you can park up in a large motorhome towing a car waiting to gain access to the next site on your itinerary. There is no extra charge for a tow car either! Sherborne with its lovely pedestrianised centre, abbey and castle are close by; Yeovil too. The Haynes Motor Museum is literally on the doorstep and a little further afield are Stourhead and Montacute National Trust properties. All in all a superb stay during the hottest days of the year.

Long Hazel Park; an excellent stop-over, quiet, clean and convenient. We stayed at Long Hazel Park to break our journey between Land's End and Leicestershire. The directions and signage to the Park were excellent and the location ensured a minimum detour from our route. The owner showed us great kindness and was most helpful on our arrival. The site was very well laid out, clean and tidy as were all the facilities. We felt it was a very safe well-run site and excellent value. The Haynes Motor Museum, a short walk from the site, was well worth a visit. The local pub restaurant in the next village provided an excellent evening meal.

This site is ideal. The owner is brilliant helpful in every respect. The facilities are of an excellent standard with clean and bright toilet blocks and facilities.

As its an adults only site it is quiet and calm ,an oasis hidden behind houses . It has good wifi, and excellent hardstanding sites with easy access to water. Each pitch is well maintained with trees between each. Lots of wildlife. We had a problem with our Satellite receiver and the owner promptly came to help with a ladder to help sort it out. For us its handy to Yeovil and the Athletics Track. We will be back.

Very Satisfied with everything we encountered. Easy to find. The lodge we stayed in for two nights was bright clean and well equipped for our needs. We were attending a wedding two blocks away Long Hazel was perfectly situated for toing and froing. We were shown the amenities in the toilet block, though we were self contained enough not to need them, we were very impressed with the hi tech facilities particularly in respect of disabled requirements. Finally our hosts were welcoming charming and helpful.

Quiet, friendly site. We stayed for the jubilee with my partner and friends, loved the site it’s small and very well maintained. Love the fact it was adult only and everyone we met there was so friendly. Alan the owner and his wife were very helpful and made us feel welcome, the email they send you to advise you of your pitch was so informative and gave plenty of information as to where we could go, what activities were going on - I was so impressed they provide a 5 star experience and run an excellent site. We will return in the near future. The villages, walks and locals were all friendly and they made a fantastic effort to celebrate the queens jubilee - the beacon lighting was fantastic and well worth the 2 1/2 Mile walk - something I will never forget. Thank you for making us feel welcome, we had a fabulous 4 day stay and will recommend it.
