Can I book direct?
Yes, please call 01963440002 or email [email protected] to make an enquiry. We know everyone has different needs from their holiday so we like to take a personal approach and answer any questions you have!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we accept well-behaved pets as long as they are kept on a lead at fall times and exercised off the park. There is a Council dog bin at the bottom of our drive.
I have a different pet, can I bring that too?
Yes! We have had cats, ferrets, rabbits, lovebirds and many other animals visit us.
Do you take children/infants/babies?
We are an adult only park and can only take patrons over the age of 18.
What is a serviced touring pitch?
Our serviced touring pitches are on hardstandings, with complimentary 16 amp electric hook-up. You will have access to a water standpipe directly next to your pitch, a waste water drain behind your pitch and access to a Chemical Disposal point nearby.
Are the gates locked at night?
Yes, we lock our gates at 10.00pm and re-open at 8.00am. If you would like to leave early, please let us know and we will give you the combination padlock number. There is a side gate for pedestrians.
Do you operate quiet hours?
Yes, we ask that all guests please keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 pm and until 8:00 am for the benefit of other guests. If there is a problem with other guests making noise during these hours, please inform us and we will do our best to resolve the situation.
Is there a shop on site?
We have a small shop for camping spares and accessories. There is a 24 hour Londis shop and off-licence less than 400 yards from our Park along the High Street pavement.
Do you have gas for sale?
Yes, we stock a selection of small cylinders for various camping appliances. Calor Gas can be bought from our local garage, 400 yards away.
Do you take credit or debit cards?
No, we do not accept credit or debit cards in person. We take cash or cheque and there are two cash points situated at the Londis shop. We also accept Pingit via your Smartphone and payment by bank transfer. Bank details will be given upon request.
Is there a limit on motorhome size? We have designated RV hardstandings for units up to 40', including those towing another vehicle. We also accept fifth wheels. We have a wide entrance road.
Do you have grey and black water waste facilities? Yes, we have a chemical disposal point for cassettes and porta pottis and upon request we can provide facilities for dumping both grey and black water in to designated drains.
Are showers included in the pitch fee? Yes.
Do you have accessible facilities? Yes. We have a separate suite for wheelchair users and the mobility impared with room for carers. This can also be accessed by small mobility scooters. Please let us know when you book and we will allocate the key to you and park you as close as possible to our shower block for easy access. When can I arrive? We request that customers arrive after 2.00pm and vacate their pitch by 11.00am on their day of departure. There is a charge of £5.00 if you would like to arrive earlier (from 9.00am) or leave later (until 6.00pm).
Do you have recycling facilities? Yes, we request that all customers recycle on our Park. We even recycle bread for our birds on the bird tables!
Do you have electric hooks-ups? Yes. These are all 16 amp and the cost is included in the pitch fee. We require you to bring your own cable, however, we do stock spare cables in our supplies shop.
Do you have dishwashing facilities? Yes. These are in a dedicated room in our shower block.
Can we have visitors? Yes, provided they are over the age of 18 years as we are an exclusively for adults Park. There is a fee of £5.00 payable per car. Visitors need to leave the Park before 9.00pm to enable us to lock the gates for the night. Visitors are not permitted to park on our entrance road.
Do you accept stag and hen parties or large single sex groups? No. We promote a peaceful and relaxing retreat for our customers.
Do you have static caravans? No, however we do have a Blackforest Lodge and a Tingdene Lodge which are both available for hire.
Do you have washing facilities? Yes. We have a washing machine and tumble dryer and these are operated using a token system which can be purchased from Reception. Washing lines are not permitted under our Site Licence.
Do you provide WiFi? Yes, we have free WiFi on site. Please be considerate of other customers and avoid using this for streaming services.
Where can we eat? Please see our attractions page for places to eat and visit.
Do you allow BBQs? Yes, as long as they are raised off the grass. We can provide bricks for elevation. We do not permit open fires or fire pits.
Do you provide storage? We can do short-term storage upon request.
Can we live on your touring park? No. The maximum permitted length of stay is six weeks upon payment of our standard charges. We now have availability for the over 50s to reside on our park in luxury lodges. Please enquire if you are interested.
Are you served by public transport? Yes. South West Coaches operate a frequent bus service connecting with Yeovil town centre and Shepton Mallet. This bus service also connects to Castle Cary railway station which is 5 miles away from us. The bus stop is 100 yards away from our entrance.
Where can I exercise my dog? We have many dog walks nearby and as dog owners ourselves, we can recommend many routes. We have maps in our Reception and a page dedicated to this on our website.
Do you provide picnic tables? Yes, we have picnic tables in our camping area.
Do you offer discounts? We give a generous discount to solo campers. We also run discounts from time to time, which will be announced on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Make sure to follow us on social media for more information!
Where can we visit? Amongst the most popular of local attractions are the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton and Haynes International Motor Museum at Sparkford. Both hold regular events, with one of the most popular being the RNAS Yeovilton Air Day. Customers also regularly visit King Arthur's Camelot at South Cadbury. Long Hazel Park Touring Booking Conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic: All bookings for 2021 will be made under the terms that our shower and toilet facilites will be closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. We ask you not to book if the law or Government guidance prevents you from staying with us. All guests booking in advance will be issued with an online welcome pack. Names and addresses of all guests must be filled out upon booking. ID must be presented on arrival when requested. Guests under the age of 18 years are not allowed on site. Guests are not permitted to invite visitors on to the Park during Coronavirus restrictions and must meet them off site. Due to the spread of COVID-19 in human waste and vapour droplets in indoor space, some of our facilities will not be available during your stay. The communal shower and toilet facilities are closed. Guests will need to use their own on-board facilities. If you need to bring your own toilet and shower tents for use with your touring unit, there is no charge for this and we will ensure it is next to your pitch. Please ensure you note this on your booking. Our Reception area is closed and all information has been moved to our website. The washing-up room is closed. Our Chemical Disposal point is open 24 hours a day. Tents are not permitted during COVID-19 restrictions unless customers have their own toilet and shower tents for their personal use. Postponement and Cancellation Policy during the COVID-19 pandemic: We may cancel or agree to postpone your holiday due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Government restrictions. In the case of Government restrictions, or you are displaying positive COVID-19 symptoms at the time of your holiday, we will hold your booking payment over for up to 12 months at the same price you have paid upon booking. The rights in this clause are additional to any other rights either you or us may have in our terms and conditions. Either you, as the customer, or ourselves, as the holiday provider, have the right to cancel or postpone your holiday, or any full unused days, if the law prevents you from visiting or staying with us. If your holiday has not started, then you have the option of postponing or cancelling your booking in full less any costs we have already incurred on your holiday which we cannot recover elsewhere (“Direct Costs”). If your holiday has started, then we will postpone or refund in full any full days unused when we cancel, again less any Direct Costs. We will not charge an administration fee. Either you as the customer, or ourselves as the holiday provider also have the right to cancel your holiday, or any full unused days, if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us, even if the law still allows you to do so. We may make reasonable changes to the facilities and services at the Park provided these changes do not materially reduce their quality. Our changes may reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements or implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address a health and safety risk. If we make changes to the facilities and services at the Park which materially reduce their quality, we will give you the choice between confirming your booking, agreeing new booking dates with us, or cancelling. If your holiday has not started and you decide to cancel, then we will refund your booking in full. If your holiday has started, then we will refund in full any full days unused when we cancel. We will not charge an administration fee, and we will not deduct any Direct Costs. We reserve the right to change these conditions at any time.
Long Hazel Park Touring Booking Conditions:
Admission is only permitted after registering at Reception. All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the Reception and complete registration forms. Guests under the age of 18 years are not allowed on site. Bookings must not be for more than 28 consecutive nights.
For bookings made at least ten days or more before your arrival date we ask for a 50% part- payment with the balance payable 10 days before your arrival date. All other bookings made within 10 days of your arrival date must be paid in full on booking.
Arrivals and departures Our arrival time is after 2:00 pm. Our departure time is before 11:00 am. Late arrivals must notify the Park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to re-let your pitch. No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures Units will be allocated on arrival
Bookings are nominative and non-transferrable In the event of a complaint, please contact Reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site. You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment. Quiet hours must be respected between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am Radio, music and TV's must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly. The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be given. No hen/stag parties permitted.
Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
All waste is to be recycled in the marked bins provided, including food waste. All dog waste must be disposed of off site in the Council bin opposite our Park entrance.
Fire pits, open fires, fireworks and firearms are not permitted. Barbeques are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended to by an adult at all times. No drones are allowed on site.
We do not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities. Dogs must be kept on short leads and supervised at all times. Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge. Dog waste must be disposed of off site in the Council bin opposite the site entrance and dogs must be exercised away from the grounds. A public footpath is opposite the site entrance. You must clean up after your dog Dogs are not allowed in the lodges for hire.
Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.
General Cancellation policy We are an Adult Only holiday venue and we are unable to accept bookings from or allow entry to our Park to persons who are under the age of 18 years. As your booking is for self-catering holiday touring park accommodation in the UK we are not obliged to make any refunds if you cancel your holiday booking for any reason when it is not our fault and the accommodation is made available for you. Please note, we are unable to make refunds within 12 weeks of arrival date. If you are unable to take this holiday, please inform the site as soon as possible by cancelling your booking. Alternatively, and for any amendments, please contact the Park on 01963 440002 or email [email protected]. If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. Our guests should protect their booking from unforeseen circumstances by taking out holiday insurance to cover cancellation or loss that you may incur due to your cancellation. If you cancel and we manage to re-let your pitch, a refund, equivalent to the same amount which we let your pitch for less any re-advertising costs, last-minute discounts and administration charges will be made. Such payment to be made after conclusion of any occupation of the re-let pitch by a substituted guest(s) for the dates and times you originally booked. If we do not manage to re-let the dates we are entitled to keep the non-refundable deposit or the full amount paid, less any costs that we would not incur such as cleaning and utility bills. Once you have booked we will make your pitch available to you and it is your responsibility to get to your accommodation and to take out insurance to protect your booking. If we cannot offer you accommodation because it is entirely our fault you will be entitled to a full refund. We cannot be held responsible for refunds in the event of a force majeure, cancellation of external events or noise. There are no refunds or discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures. If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book.
